Being a Logistics provider for more than 80 companies both inside and outside Siam Cement Group, gives us broad knowledge in quite a number of products, ports of loading and destination, selling terms and conditions, and various modes of transportation
and delivery.
Most importantly, we have been working closely with a number of logistics partners, such as ocean carriers;
freight forwarders; truck, barge and warehouse operators; Customs brokers, and stevedores, in order to
provide smooth deliveries of our products to the customers.
SCT offers a full range of logistics services for export, import, and domestic businesses. We customize our
activities to meet your needs. Our scope of services are:
1. Overseas purchasing on behalf of importer
- Make price inquiry and negotiate with suppliers for better price and conditions.
- Give advices on proper terms and conditions of purchasing, delivery and payment.
- Issue purchase order to suppliers on customers' behalf.
- Follow up on delivery of shipments and shipping documents.
2. Import / Export Documents
Import
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to issue proper shipping documents for fast Customs processing.
- Give advices or cooperate in all matters to obtain import license / permit.
- Prepare import entry form and Foreign Transaction 2 forms.
Export
- Prepare customs invoice, packing list, export entry form, Foreign Transaction 1 form and Article 19 Bis attachment form.
- Obtain Certificate of Origin (Form A, D) or export license / permit.
3. Customs processing and other customs related matters.
- Assign proper Customs Tariff numbers for smooth Customs clearing.
- Prepare / arrange or give advices in obtaining import/export privileges such as Section 19 Bis, Duty and Tax Refund for Re-export shipment.
- File appeals to Customs Department when there are disagreements in Customs Tariff numbers or the price imposed on the cargo.
- Process/give advise for Tax and Duty compensation, Section 19 BIS drawback.
4. Overseas transport & bulk and charter shipping.
- Arrange or give advice for suitable mode of overseas transport for your shipment with the most favorable and reasonable freight rate.
- Arrange or assist in chartering the vessel for bulk cargo.
- Give advices on Air Transportation.
- Give advices on Marine Transport / Shipping terms and conditions.
- Prepare Bill of Lading instructions, complying with customers' Letter of Credit.
5. Inland transport
- Arrange or give advices for suitable mode of inland transport (road, rail and inland waterway) between
loading / discharging port or Inland Container Depot (ICD) and the customer's premise with
the most favorable and reasonable expenses.
- Arrange survey and study the routes as well as plan for inland transport for Project Cargo with extra
heavy or extra large items.
6. Stevedore of labor arrangement for cargo loading and unloading
- Arrange skilled stevedore or labor for cargo loading and unloading (discharging) between in land transport
carrier (trucks, barges) and the ocean-going vessel.
- Arrange proper equipment to assist in cargo loading and unloading.
- Arrange Warehousing.
7. Insurance arrangement and claim settlement
- Prepare or give advices for Marine insurance policy at the most favorable and reasonable
premium rate with selected notable insurance companies.
- File claims for damages of cargo against the responsible parties
(supplier, ocean carrier, forwarding agent, inland transporter and insurance company) on behalf of
beneficiary until full settlement is received.
