The objective of our office is to create / develop new business models for
SCT, mainly focused in opportunities in Alternative Energy. Moreover, business
opportunities in new technologies that present good potential and alignment with
our strategic directions con be included in our scope.
Our responsibility includes - but not limited to - identifying potential
technologies, searching for partners / expertise outside our SCG conglomerate,
searching for potential sources of raw materials, conducting feasibility study,
verifying costs / margins of the new business, developing a new market, setting
up manufacturing plant and logistics, etc.
Notable current projects are:
1) Coal Water Mixture (or CWM) - a mixture of pulverized coal and water
(70/30) with a very small quantity of additive chemical. This will be an alternative to heavy fuel oil, used in boilers in manufacturing plants.
